The Druggist is a craft beer taproom and restaurant housed in an 80-year-old shophouse along Tyrwhitt Road in Jalan Besar, within the building that still serves as the Singapore Chinese Druggists Association headquarters. The original patterned floor tiles, old shophouse architecture, and retro touches give it a really distinctive, characterful feel. It's a relaxed, unpretentious choice for couples who want a casual celebration over great craft beer and good food, with a venue that has genuine personality.

The shophouse exterior and the surrounding Tyrwhitt Road area have a lot of old-school Jalan Besar character that works really well for couple portraits. The nearby shophouse streets and the Jalan Besar neighbourhood in general have a nostalgic, textured quality that photographs beautifully for something more candid and urban.
Our Experience Shooting Weddings at The Druggist Bar
The retro shophouse interior gives photos a really fun, distinctive character and the patterned tiles and original fittings add a lot of visual interest. Weddings here are relaxed and personal, which naturally brings out warm, genuine moments. The surrounding Jalan Besar neighbourhood is one we enjoy working in for couple portraits and the area always gives us something interesting to work with just outside the door.
