Kristy & Siddharth
Raffles Hotel Wedding Photography Singapore
From a Chance Encounter to a Wedding in Singapore
Having photographed and filmed Kristy and Siddharth during both of their pre-wedding sessions while they were visiting Singapore from the United States, I had the chance to get to know them and hear the story of how they first met.
As it turns out, the two of them happened to be seated beside each other on a flight to Singapore. They exchanged contacts after the journey, and the rest was history.
During the pre-wedding video, Siddharth shared a simple line that stuck with everyone. He said that when Kristy first walked down the aisle, she caught his eye — and now, years later, she was walking down a very different aisle. It was a light moment, but also summed up their journey in a really simple way.
The day began quietly with preparations in their hotel room at Raffles Hotel Singapore before an emotional first look. Afterwards, we spent time moving around the hotel for portraits, where the two of them were very natural with each other — nothing forced, just enjoying the day as it unfolded.
Their solemnisation was decorated with bright tropical colours that reflected the warmth of the celebration. Family and friends had travelled from different countries to be there, which made the gathering feel especially meaningful.
As a Chinese-Indian couple, it was beautiful to see both families come together so naturally throughout the day. There was a quiet ease in how everyone interacted, regardless of where they had come from.
One of the highlights of the evening was the lion dance during the second march-in. For many of the overseas guests, it was their first time experiencing it, and it added a lot of energy and excitement to the room.
The speeches by Kristy and Siddharth themselves were another memorable part of the evening, filled with gratitude for the people who had flown in to celebrate with them.

Looking back at Kristy and Siddharth’s wedding at Raffles Hotel Singapore, what stands out most is how everything came full circle - from a chance meeting on a flight, to family and friends gathering from all over the world, and finally to a celebration that reflected both of their cultures and the people who shaped their journey.
