Renewal of Vows at Riverlife Church

Zheng Yi and Zhi Yang’s wedding morning was a really lovely one to photograph. There was something very chill about the way they went through the morning together, moving between their bridal and groom preparations and the Chinese wedding customs, with plenty of time just enjoying each other’s company. We later headed to Riverlife Church for their photos before the renewal of vows.

Having already solemnised their marriage, this was a meaningful opportunity for them to stand before God and their loved ones again, this time to renew their vows. Watching them worship together and seeing the sanctuary filled with praise was something I found really moving. There was a real sense of the Spirit filling the church.

And whenever the attention turned towards the people they love, you could see just how much they have to give. The speeches, thanksgiving and gift dedications were especially emotional, with both of them so visibly moved by the people who have been part of their lives. There is a lot of love between Zheng Yi and Zhi Yang, but just as much love that they pour out to the people around them.

Looking back at their Riverlife Church wedding photography, I think what stays with me most is seeing how their love extends beyond just the two of them. From the quiet moments they shared that morning to worshipping together and celebrating the people they love, the whole day felt like a beautiful expression of gratitude, faith and love.
