The Grand Ballroom sits in a restored 1930s Drill Hall and has a really distinctive character, with high arched ceilings, a floor-to-ceiling LED wall, and an impressive installation of 11,520 lights overhead. It's a venue that combines heritage architecture with modern luxury in a way that feels genuinely special.

The heritage buildings within the South Beach development have a lot of architectural character and are great for portraits. The two outdoor courtyards within the Grand Ballroom space also offer some nice options. The surrounding Beach Road and Civic District area has interesting spots nearby, and the Esplanade waterfront is just a short drive away.
Our Experience Shooting Weddings at JW Marriott
The Grand Ballroom is one of the more visually impressive spaces we shoot in. The arched ceiling, the light installation, and the scale of the LED wall all make for really strong reception shots. The heritage building character also gives us interesting architectural elements to work with for portraits throughout the day.
