The Bandstand at Singapore Botanic Gardens is a popular free solemnisation venues in Singapore, and it's easy to see why. This small historic white gazebo structure, built in 1930, sits surrounded by lush greenery and tall Yellow Rain Trees, creating a really serene and beautiful setting for saying your vows. A permit from NParks is required to book the space, and it can hold an intimate group of guests. For couples who want an outdoor solemnisation in a genuinely beautiful natural setting without the cost of a private venue, the Bandstand is a wonderful choice.

The Bandstand itself and the surrounding trees make for really stunning ceremony and portrait shots. The wider Botanic Gardens offers an incredible variety of backdrops, from Swan Lake and the Sundial Garden to the quieter garden paths and open lawns. It's one of the richest portrait locations in Singapore and most couples find they barely scratch the surface of what's available during a single visit.
Our Experience Shooting Weddings at SG Botanic Gardens Bandstand
The Bandstand is one of our favourite solemnisation settings in Singapore. The dappled light through the Yellow Rain Trees gives the ceremony shots a really soft, romantic quality that's hard to replicate indoors. The wider Botanic Gardens afterwards gives us so much to work with for couple portraits that the challenge is choosing where to go rather than finding good spots. Do note that timing can be tight as other couples may have booked adjacent time slots, so planning the schedule carefully is important.
