For a sunrise pre-wedding photoshoot, we like starting by the water while the morning light is still soft. The shoreline and steps give us a more open setting, and the water can catch the early light nicely in wider photographs.
From there, we can slowly make our way into the more forested parts of the island. When the sunlight starts coming through the trees, the greenery takes on a warm golden glow. Combined with the dense trees around the paths, this can create a slightly mystical feel that works beautifully for both candid photographs and more composed portraits.
The forest area is also useful when we want photographs that feel more immersive. Rather than having a lot of man-made elements in the background, we can frame the couple amongst the trees and greenery, creating that almost endless-woods look.
